As a sleep consultant her goal is to address all of your sleep concerns and treat your child as a whole. This is why she offers a range of packages to support you with sleep, as well as other behavioural and developmental challenges. She respects that each family is different, so tailors her advice and support to work with your personal parenting style. The less stressed you are about the process the easier it will be for your child.
Our Sleep Harmony Sleep Consultant Clare will gather information from you through an intake form. This will give some idea of the challenges you are facing as well as the sleep environment, routines and what you have tried in the past. A phone or face to face consultation will then be scheduled where the intake form can be discussed in more detail. You will be asked about your thoughts and feelings on sleep training, which methods you have heard about or tried, and what your child's usual temperament is. Clare will then work with you to come up with a plan that will suit you and your child. This will be discussed step by step and you will receive an emailed copy of this. As you implement the plan you will be in daily contact with Clare who will give support and encouragement for 2 weeks, as well as answering any questions you have along the way. At the end of your support period you will receive an information leaflet giving some insight on what you can expect over the coming weeks and months.
Sleep Consultants don't have a magic wand unfortunately, so it takes determination and consistency from you to make the plan work.
If you are struggling to function on a daily basis, it is high time you booked a consultation. Sleep deprivation makes emotions more intense as well as making it harder to think logically and make decisions. This is the time that it can be very helpful to have an expert work with you to establish what your goals are and develop a plan to work towards them. Once you have a plan in place it often relieves some of the stress and uncertainty. A large number of clients have commented that they wish they had booked a consult sooner.
